Web Hosting Providers

As a web developer and internet marketer, I do business with several web hosting companies who provide a variety of packages. Working in this way allows me to have a variety of IP addresses and have my sites in different IP blocks. It also allows me to group smaller sites on hosts that allow more sites with less storage and bandwidth, and group larger sites on hosts that allow larger storage and bandwidth allocations.

You don't always get what you pay for, but I try my best to pay for the best hosting deal I can afford and then to stick with the hosting companies that provide excellent service for the money. Frankly, none of us can afford to keep moving from one hosting company to another because it takes time to make those moves, and the competitive environment means that things tend to level out over time. Pick a company you like, and stick with them. Over time, you'll get the best deals that way.

There are so many web hosting companies these days that it can be extremely difficult to even get a good list of recommended hosting companies. You can miss a deal from a great company simply because the search engines present a popular listing ahead of the best ones.

Here, I'm presenting a smaller list of companies with whom I have had dealings, and for whom I can make honest recommendations. I hope this helps you decide where you'd like to do business.

  I've been using Lunarpages as one of my web hosting companies for several years now. I actually have about 10 separate contracts with Lunarpages, so you can see I've been very happy with the service and support I've received.
• Aplus.Net
  
  I started using Aplus.net after getting a recommendation from a friend. I don't use the standard web hosting service from them, but instead use the dedicated server.
• Yahoo! Web Hosting
  
  The largest web host is now Yahoo! web hosting. Far from just being simple web pages, Yahoo! also has full-featured stores with shopping cart systems for great low prices.
• EasyCGI
  
  An excellent choice for Windows hosting along with all the features supported by a Windows server, easyCGI is the perfect choice for web sites that require a lot of disc space on the server.
